I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and lived there until 2002. In 1990 my company's headquarters moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn and I used to walk through the Brooklyn Heights area admiring the architecture. I convinced a co-worker to pose for this photo so I could paint it. The woman, Shannon Kennedy went on to become a singer and has recorded several CDs.
